TOM-Skype 1.1内测评价
TOM昨天举行新闻发布会，正式宣布与Skype的合作。港台媒体的相关报道如下：
引述《明報》報道，TOM在線<8282.HK>於明日(11月16日)與SKYPE簽署合作協議，並計劃於內地開拓寬頻電話市場。 SKYPE的網絡電話技術由Niklas Zennstrom及 Janus Friis合作開發，近期已與台灣PChome及日本Livedoor合作有關寬頻電話項目。
報道指出由於寬頻電話成本較傳統固網電話為低，加上網絡質素日趨改善，故將對內地電訊業構成衝擊。不過市場認為，現時內地政府對此項目有保留，而網站對投資寬頻電話態度仍審慎。
上午拿到TOM-skype 1.1的内部测试版本，版本号为“1.1.4.11”。粗用之后，基本改变了我原先对TOM二次开发能力的质疑态度。
用TOM员工的话说，这只是一个很粗糙的测试版，大多数功能尚未成型。不过在试用的过程中，还是可以感受到TOM对skype本地化的重视程度，以及本地研发人员对用户需求的深入了解。
如图所示，TOM-skype 1.1拥有比旧版精致许多的文字对话框，窗体右侧有一列放置头像的区域。另外，在好友名单窗口中，分组的概念也在形式上得到了强化。虽然在目前的测试版中，还没有相关新功能出现，但是种种迹象表明，TOM-skype 1.1会将组群聊天作为一块相当重要的功能予以拓展。
在用户体验方面，TOM-skype将好友名单做了一定的改动。如果用鼠标单击名单中的某个用户，高亮区中还会显示出头像、城市、电话等相关信息。如果名单中存在一些喜欢更改昵称的网友，这个功能无疑相当有用。同时，测试版中增添了不少有趣的聊天图标，也能为文字聊天增添不少乐趣，相信在正式版本中还会有更多的惊喜。
从TOM论坛的skype版面来看，国内用户反映的问题多集中于代理服务器设置以及Windows 98下的中文显示两个方面。飞猪为各位带来了一好一坏两个消息。
首先，在目前的测试版本中，TOM-skype已经引入了proxy的设置选项，支持手动设置https和socks5两种模式的代理，而不用再让软件自动沿用IE的设置。在测试过程中，两种代理都支持得不错，以后教育网用户应该可以更方便地使用skype进行通话。
至于win98的中文问题，还没有得到Skype及TOM方面的明确答复。所以，98平台的用户目前依然需要用“南极星”这样的外挂中文内码转换平台支撑中文版skype的运转。
最后说说当前测试版存在的问题。刨去有名无实的界面，遇到的错误有：消息无法发出、内存read错误。后者仅出现过一次，但是消息发送失败却几乎无法避免，所以最后飞猪还是换上了skype 1.0官方版本。
如果说，文中述及的新功能确系中国本地开发人员自助开发，那么TOM反复宣称的“我们和skype之间不只是简单的代理关系”一说就得到了充分的验证，并且可以预见TOM-skype在中国的本土化进程将会展现出令人惊叹的美好前景。
我按装了以后，并没有发现新的功能？或许只是在文字聊天的界面中才能看到。还有一点挺纳闷，SKYPE只有4MB，tom-skype确有10MB？
zheng: 我手头的skype 1.0官方安装文件是10.391MB，TOM-skype 1.1是10.782MB，好像差不多？好像界面的改变确实只是文字部分。
