TMT流言簿：百度崛起 [ 分类:科技 Tech ]
趁着中国互联网调查报告发布的热乎劲，《纽约时报》也做了一个关于百度的故事，更准确地说，是李彦宏帅哥白手起家的故事。
文章的标题叫做The Rise of Baidu (That’s Chinese for Google)，暂且称其为“百度崛起：中国制造的‘谷歌’”(谢谢Fiona同学的建议)。文章里说：
分析家说，中国企业主在对付美国互联网巨头时自有一套办法。“统领全球的美国互联网公司在(中国市场的)任何领域都不能成为市场份额的第一。”花旗集团分析师杰森·布吕施克说，“它们有钱有牌子。所以说，这块市场上有些本质的不同。”
因此，布吕施克先生相信，百度将会保持中国搜索引擎行业的霸主地位。“这场比赛里真正要比的不是谁能当老大，而是谁会坐上第二把交椅。”他说。
文末说：
“我们的流量在持续增长，”李彦宏自信地说，“我们是中国第一的网站。”

baidu不是美资占51%股份控股的吗...
it's far too early to say that Baidu has been the search bellwether in china. This search market is far from mature and users are still forming the patterns of how to use search. Imagine people using search engines in totally different ways several years later. One thing be interesting to notice is China Telecom's deal with Microsoft by offering the internet search solution over telephone with the well known brand "114" - will you use it as an alternative for existing web based ssearch? :)

看来纽约时报的网站设计也不怎么样啊。
百事通的意义不光在于微软提供了一个服务，共重要的是在于在中国这个市场和中国电信建立起的合作关系。这个第一步在我看来其实太重要了。
