Twitter：咕叽咕叽 [ 分类:科技 Tech ]
半年前的一个下午，我在豆瓣的办公室里和方军、阿北进行无主题漫谈。忘记说到哪茬儿，阿北说了一句：“信息的单位从书本变成了文章，以后可能就成了一句话、两句话。”
原话我记不请了。但现在看来，当时的他多多少少说中了未来。
Twitter是一款革命性的产品。在牛津字典里，Twitter的意思是“give a call consisting of repeated light tremulous sounds”。用中文说，大概就是“叨叨”，或者用最近一个挺好玩的歌名，“咕叽咕叽”。
我一直憧憬着这么一款产品——脑子里面偶尔闪过的念头可以贴在网上，召告天下。比如说“站得高、尿得远”、“孙燕姿的新专辑难听得令人发指”、“北京今日黄天厚土”云云。这些东西要扩充成blog上的一篇帖子实在没什么必要，但我们却总会跟身边的家伙们拼命叨咕几下，或者写到MSN昵称上面去。
而且我觉得，喜欢拿MSN昵称修修改改“展现自我”的肯定不只我一个。比如微软就用这么一个“公益活动”占了许多中国人民的便宜。
但MSN昵称的问题在于，你琢磨够了之后，把昵称又给改了，过去的昵称就没地方找了。而且MSN昵称本来就不是为了当传播平台设计的，所以在广而告之的效率上总是不那么理想。(比如有时候为了让大家都看到我猥琐的MSN昵称，我就得下线再上线，或者挨个发消息：“请看我的昵称耶！”)
如果你不明白我长期以来憧憬的是个什么东西，那么你可以看看这个页面。明白了吧，这个就是Twitter：
而且呢，在每次写下这些仅限140字的“百万小碎片”时，你还能看到朋友们最近都琢磨出了些什么，或者都在干些什么。比如说下面这样：
当然，我觉得对于Twitter来说，他们最成功的一个做法，就是允许用户直接用 Google Talk 这样的即时通讯软件或者手机短信冲他们的服务器说话，然后这些句子就会挨个儿出现在你的Twitter页面上。而朋友们的动静，也会通过这个渠道即时反馈出来。比如说：
想起来一个叫做Anothr的服务，是国内的几位同学开发的，可以把RSS订阅的内容推送到Skype或者GoogleTalk上面。可是，我觉得blog或者媒体上的长文章，并不需要类似的即时推送功能，你看bloglines里的最短回溯时间就是“24小时”。
而Twitter上短短的句子，才适合与即时通讯工具嫁接。你看Twitter上最短的时间单位是“20秒”。之所以能产生这种感觉，很重要的一点，就是Twitter严格限制了每条消息的长度。这种初看之下“十分不便”特性反而造就了它的与众不同，准确地找到了细分市场。
当然，我后来禁用了Twitter的手机短信提醒功能，否则我怀疑在好友不断增多之后手机会被迅速撑爆。当然啦，我还是可以用手机短信来发布Twitter消息的，比如说下面这样( Ask a Ninjia 是在互联网上很火的系列视频节目)：
而且，Twitter开放了自己的API接口，这让许许多多意想不到的应用成为可能。比如说这个可以让你看到全世界人民都在干吗的地图。
最近，Twitter正在经历一个迅速成长的时期。看看《商业周刊》的报道：“如果你没能在日渐升温的Twitter论战中占有一席之地，可别感觉太糟。这个免费的互联网新服务现在只有8万左右的用户。在问世后的一年中，Twitter始终不温不火，直到今年3月初。”可不是嘛，现在连美国总统候选人都用Twitter来做宣传了呢。
好吧，最后要说的一点是，我觉得国内应该有不少胸怀致富梦想的同学已经开始伟大的克隆工程了。Twitter和手机短信简直是天造地设的一对，所以祝各位在发财道路上一帆风顺啦！只要别被过早地“和谐”了就好。
自从加入Twitter以来已经大约有三周时间了。当初使用Twitter的初衷主要是为了能多一个宣传博客的渠道。但用下来却觉得完全不是那么回事儿。使用Twitter比我想象的更简单，也更复杂。简单是...

至于Twitter，我宁愿把它作为自己的一个meta idea的管理工具，如果只是咕叽咕叽，要是没人看，看的人少，看的人不互动，互动了也只是咕叽咕叽，我会觉得很孤独。
一个是短信付费的问题，还有一个则是稳定性的问题，已经看到不少人抱怨twitter的不稳定影响他们的体验了。
